post-tea feelings
Last week, the Graphic Design tea marked the end of my fourth semester of college. We got to show off all our work that we'd done to potential employers.
It was really discouraging to me.
I wasn't proud of a lot of my stuff and i've been questioning my decision to become a Graphic Designer. I'm not really very good at hand-done traditional work, and my digital work...is okay i guess. I could just be thinking this because I'm comparing myself to the graduating students, especially Ira and Anthony. Ira has a lot of really nice hand done work and anthony is practically a prodigy with adobe programs. Anthony's futuristic cityscape is being used as the cover to this year's facets book.
I've been thinking maybe i'd be better off switching majors to Web Design. I'm pretty good with layouts and I like working with digital art more than traditional. I'm just afraid that I'd have to start over again and many of my GD classes would be a waste. I just don't know.
